Job Summary:

We are seeking a Functional QA Automation Engineer with 3+ years of experience in software testing and automation. The ideal candidate is skilled in functional testing, test planning, and test automation using Python and Playwright, with exposure to web and API testing. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and release teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

🧪 Functional Testing & Automation

• Design and execute functional test cases based on product requirements and specifications
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Python and Playwright for web and API validation
• Build reusable test scripts and contribute to scalable test automation frameworks (e.g., pytest)

📅 Test Planning & Execution

• Create test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases
• Participate in sprint and release planning to ensure QA coverage
• Log and track defects through to resolution with clear documentation

🤝 Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams in agile environments
• Participate in release cycles and verify deployments across environments
• Communicate test results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership

🔁 Continuous Improvement

• Enhance test processes and frameworks for improved efficiency and coverage
• Stay updated on emerging testing practices, automation tools, and frameworks

Required Skills & Qualifications:

🧠 Experience:

3+ years in functional QA automation and software testing

🛠 Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of functional testing methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience using Playwright
• Familiarity with Python-based test frameworks like pytest
• API testing using Postman, Requests, or similar tools
• Prior experience working in Cloud Environments (mandatory)
• Backend/database testing using SQL
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) is a plus
• Version control systems like Git

• Ability to design thorough test cases for complex applications
